I'll tell you something. I had the bronze medal winning Hop 15 and it rocked my world (thanks Weez)! If there are 2 above it then I want them. The 15 is seriously the greatest beer I think I have ever tasted.

Commercials
Anybody seen the new Michelob commercials that are a direct ripoff of the Sam Adams commercials? It looks like some of the big guys are feeling the burn of the microbreweries. They are trying to play the role of the brewery that cares about taste. I am sure the big breweries will always be around doing there thing, but I wonder if these commercials could act as a gateway drug for other microbrew beers.

Lagunitas Hop Stoopid...Brace yourselves...

I love Lagunitas and the beer they make, and i really love the Hop Stoopid double IPA. Have you ever wondered how they keep that beer so deliciously hoppy?? You know where it's citrus-y..crisp and the malt stays the hell away. Have you also considered the hop shortage and the prices of heavily hopped beers these days...and then wondered how the Hop Stoopid can remain a $3.59 22oz bottled of glory? Well...during my little talk with Savannah they let me in on an UGLY little secret about one of our favorite beers..prepare for your bubble to be burst.
