My IBA is going to blow!

I brewed an IBA last thursday with a friend, and we had a good time brewing but we may have created some kind of monster IBA. The grain bill of the beer was pretty big (thanks to Weasel). But nothing had happened in the fermenter for two days which will scare you a bit. But today when I went in to check on the beer I saw my bucket completely swollen and about to blow! The lid on the bucket was shaped like a dome and my air lock was clogged to the brim with yeast. I was freaking out yelling at my wife to go get towels and at the same time trying to explain that we just might have beer all over the closet. This has never happened to me, I have just heard horror stories about exploding beers. So the only thing I could think to do was to move the bucket to the bathroom and try and pull the air lock out and let the beer breathe. And a good thing I did move it to the bathroom because as soon as I pulled the cap of the air lock yeast and beer started pouring out. It wasn't some huge explosion but it was pretty nasty. Now my beer is almost back to normal and I hope it turns out so that I can let some of you guys taste it. Im thinking it will end up around 9%.  Thats my story.
