Barley Wines
So the other day I had the Great Divide Old Ruffian Barley Wine. This was my first real expierece with a barley wine and it was a good change of pace from my typical choices. I enjoyed its rich malty flavor and its flavors varied greatly from once again what I am a custom to flocking towards. However, while I ejoyed this beer it was not one of my favoirtes. Before I rule out barley wines I would like to try some more to get broader scope of what to expect and find in this style.

Glad you liked it. I feel what you are saying though. I find myself liking "good" barley wines when it gets a little cooler outside. The weez can tell you that I was stuck on them for a bit, but haven't had one in quite a while. Some other good ones to try....
Clipper City Heavy Seas Below Decks
Avery Hog Heaven
Dogfish Olde School (just to say you've had it)
Rogue Old Crustacean (awesome bottle)
cheers!
